Minas Kafa Kahve Dükkanı is a small, intimate café tucked away in Sarajevo’s Telali neighborhood, offering a genuine taste of Bosnian coffee culture. The focus here is squarely on the coffee itself—especially their ground coffee which roasts with a rich, toasted aroma that fills the compact space. It’s a place where coffee is more than just a drink, it’s a shared experience.

The atmosphere is cozy and unpretentious, drawing locals and visitors who appreciate a slower pace. On any visit, you’re likely to find the owner, Fuad, engaging warmly with guests, speaking openly about Sarajevo and its people. This genuine connection sets the tone here: the coffee sparks conversation as much as it satisfies the palate.

This café works well as a quiet spot to relax or catch up with friends over a cup of traditional Bosnian coffee. It’s best visited during mid-mornings or early afternoons, when the shop feels quiet but alive with meaningful exchanges. Unlike busier tourist-heavy cafés, Minas Kafa offers a more authentic, down-to-earth experience that favors lingering moments over quick stops.

If you enjoy places where the personality of the owner shines through, and where coffee-making is a craft shared with care, Minas Kafa Kahve Dükkanı fits naturally into the fabric of local daily life in Sarajevo. This is a place for those who prefer intimate, human-scale experiences over commercialized cafés.

Came for the coffee, stayed for the chats with the owner. He had closed his shop to run an errand and saw that we were approaching the shop. He immediately went back to open up and served us a nice authentic Bosnian coffee. We conversed in English and German, as he lived there for a couple years after the siege. It goes to show that despite living in such inhumane conditions, the humanity and positive outlook can still thrive. A must visit it Sarajevo.

Located just across the city hall, this authentic and cozy coffee shop is a great place to taste and buy Bosnian Coffee. The shop’s owner, Fuat Bey, is a lovely person, welcoming all his guests with a bright smile and accommodates them even when the shop is full. The place is also a great spot to have a conversation with friendly local people. We will definitely visit this shop again during our next trip to Sarajevo.
